The AAS staff (including staff of Sky & Telescope) are working remotely from their homes to support the social distancing efforts to contain COVID 19. This is a difficult time for the entire United States. Aero, our fulfillment partner, is based in Ohio. Aero provides fulfillment services for P&G. While they will continue to fulfill our orders, there may be a delay in shipping our products because they must give priority to medical, personal healthcare, and cleaning and sanitization products.

How can I check the status of my order?
Log into My Account and you will see a list of your recent orders. Click the View Order link to view the details of an order. If an item on your order has shipped from our warehouse you will see a Shipments tab. Click this link to view the shipment(s) associated with your order along with any relevant tracking information.

Please note that we sell select items that ship directly from our retail partners and we are unable to provide shipment and tracking details in your My Account for those items. 

What payment options do you accept?
We currently accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Refunds and Exchanges

What is your return and/or exchange policy?
Your satisfaction is our top priority, which is why we're happy to offer Friction-Free Returns. If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase of a physical product, you may return it for a full refund, credit or exchange of the product purchase price at any time. It's that simple! No hoops to jump through and no strings attached!

Digital products, downloads, course offerings, and video purchases are not covered under the Friction-Free Return Policy. However, if the product is defective or you are not satisfied with quality of the item purchased, please do contact us.

Be sure to include a copy of your receipt or packing slip with your return to ensure proper credit is given. If you have questions regarding a return, our customer service team is happy to assist you. Our customer service team is available via our convenient contact form.

What should I do if I have purchased a magazine from a bookstore or other retailer and am not satisfied?
Returns directly to the publisher can only be accepted if the product was purchased directly from the publisher. Any other return should be made directly with the retailer from whom you purchased the product.

Digital Downloads

How can I access the digital files I have purchased?
When you purchase a downloadable item from our store, you have unlimited access to your purchase and can download it as many times and as often as needed.

To access and save your download please follow these instructions:
1) Go to the store's homepage
2) Click on “My Account” at the top right corner 
3) Sign in with your email and password
4) On the left side of the screen click on "My Downloadable Products"
5) Underneath the Product title will be the download link, click the link to view the PDF or Video
6) To save your purchases to your computer please do the following: 
*PC Users: Right click on the download link, select “Save Link As” (Firefox, Chrome) or "Save Target As" (Internet Explorer)
*MAC Users: Hold the Ctrl button while clicking on the download link and select the option “Save Link As" (Safari)
7) Save the download(s) to your “Desktop,” “My documents” or other favorite folder. Click “Save”

How can I Use my eBook on my portable device?
Purchasing an eBook in PDF format allows you to read your content on multiple devices, including your computer, Kindle, Nook, iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android, or any other device compatible with the PDF file format type. Click here to read more.

Wish List

How can I create a wish list?
Creating a wish list is easy! Simply find a product you'd like to add to your wish list and click the ADD TO WISHLIST button. If you are not logged into your account you will be asked to do so (or, you can create an account if you don't have one). Your item will be added to your wish list.

How can I view my wish list?
Simply log into your account. From your Account Dashboard click on 'My wishlist' From here you can view your wish list, remove items or add items to your cart.

How can I share my wish list?
Let your friends and family know what is on your wish list. First, log into your account. From your Account Dashboard click on 'My wishlist.' Next, click the 'Share Wishlist' button and enter the email addresses of your friends and family. You can add a message of your own if you like. Your friends and family will receive an email message showing your wish list items which they can then easily add to their cart.

Gift Cards

Do I have to spend my entire Online Gift Card at once?
If your order total is less than the balance on your Online Gift Card you can use your Card again on a future order.

Where can I use my Online Gift Card?
The certificate can only be used at the online store from which it was purchased.

What happens if my order total is higher than my Online Gift Card amount?
You will be prompted to enter your credit card information or another Online Gift Card if the amount of your order exceeds the balance on your Online Gift Card.

Does my Online Gift Card expire? Are there any fees?
Online Gift Cards expire 365 days after the original purchase date. No Certificate related fees are charged.

Can I get refund on my Online Gift Card or a purchase made with an Online Gift Card?
We cannot offer refunds on the purchase of an Online Gift Card. If you return a product that was purchased with an Online Gift Card only, the amount of the return will be added back onto your Online Gift Card. Otherwise the amount of the return will be added back onto your credit card.

Sales Tax

Will sales tax be applied to my order?
Companies selling over the Internet are subject to the same sales tax collection requirements as any other retailers.
